QUEZON CITY, Sept 9 (PIA) — The Department of Social Welfare and Development – Mimaropa recently hosted a Stakeholders’ Forum in Makati City attended by mayors and representatives from various municipalities from the region.
The forum aims to promote a stronger partnership and collaboration between DSWD-Mimaropa and local governments.
Holding the forum gives both sides the chance to get inputs in the implementation of social programs in the five provinces in Mimaropa.
Aside from the social programs of DSWD, the audience were also briefed by representatives from the National Economic and Development Authority on the results of Ambisyon Natin 2040 study.
Based on the study, at least 79 percent of the surveyed kababayans wanted a simple and comfortable life that include having a regular salary, earning business venture, job stability with benefits. (LP/PIA4B/QC)
