CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, July 11 (PIA) – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office headed by Provincial Director Arnel E. Hutalla in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Naujan launched recently its 5th Negosyo Center at Bahay Tuklasan, Poblacion, Naujan.
The center aims to assist local existing and potential MSMEs in the operation of their businesses.
According to DTI, the Negosyo Center-Naujan provides a venue for existing and emerging entrepreneurs, designers, creatives, students and the general public to explore their product/business ideas and turn them into reality.
Available equipment at the center are five desktop computers, an LED TV with DVD player and speaker, printer, two units folding working station tables, five units of office chairs and 42 units of Gabay sa Negosyo video compact discs.
Aside from Negosyo Center-Naujan, four other Negosyo Centers were already established in the province; Negosyo Center-Oriental Mindoro, Negosyo Center-Victoria, Negosyo Center-Calapan and Negosyo Center – San Teodoro which was launched on June 1.
The Negosyo Center is among the programs of DTI for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) development to facilitate business registration and promote ease of doing business, provide business advisory services to ensure management guidance, assistance and improvement of the working conditions of MSMEs, provide access to business information and conduct advocacies, facilitate access to grants and other forms of financial assistance, Shared Service Facilities (SSF) and other equipment, and other support for MSMEs through national government agencies (NGAs) and facilitate market access and linkaging services for MSMEs.
Since the establishment of Negosyo Center in 2014, through Republic Act No. 10644 or the Go Negosyo Act, the DTI has already opened 252 Centers nationwide where Mimaropa has 23 Negosyo Centers as to date.
The presence of the Negosyo Center in the rest of the province’s municipalities is in the works with the objective of providing better and more efficient services to MSMEs. (DTI/LTC/PIA-Mimaropa/Calapan)
